Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at how I’ve evolved over nearly two decades, shaping my technical craft, mastering client relationships, and ultimately leading large-scale digital programs for financial institutions. In this three-part narrative, you’ll discover:
How I laid my technical foundations (2006–2016) with LAMP stack development and DevOps
The lessons I learned in account management and business growth
My experience in program and project leadership, guiding Agile teams of 75 to compliant, on-time delivery
Part 1: Technical Foundations (2006–2016)
I kicked off my career in 2006, immersing myself in the LAMP stack—Linux servers, Apache configurations, MySQL databases, and PHP development. Day in and day out, I wrote clean, modular code to power everything from brochure websites to early e-commerce portals.
On Linux, I mastered shell scripting, package management, and server hardening to keep environments secure and performant.
Using Git and SVN, I established version-controlled workflows that scaled from solo projects to team collaborations.
I integrated AWS services—EC2 for compute, S3 for storage, RDS for managed databases—to build resilient, cloud-ready architectures.
By 2012, I was deeply involved in DevOps practices: automating deployments with shell scripts, monitoring, and rolling out zero-downtime updates. This decade of hands-on experience taught me the importance of reliable infrastructure, repeatable processes, and the power of “infrastructure as code.”
Part 2: Account Management & Business Growth
Around 2011, I transitioned into a dual role—still coding, but increasingly focused on client success and business development. I discovered that the best solutions arise when you truly understand a customer’s pain points and growth ambitions.
As an account manager, I owned client relationships end-to-end: onboarding, requirement workshops, regular check-ins, and satisfaction surveys (SAT scores consistently above 90%).
I won new contracts by crafting tailored proposals that aligned technical roadmaps with business KPIs—resulting in repeat engagements and referrals.
Through upselling and cross-selling, I boosted annual revenue by 25% for key accounts, introducing add-on services like performance marketing audits and automated reporting dashboards.
These experiences sharpened my communication skills, taught me to negotiate win-win terms, and reinforced that technology without business insight rarely moves the needle.
Part 3: Program & Project Leadership for Financial Institutions
Since 2016, I’ve stepped into the role of Program and Project Management, leading Agile teams of up to 75 developers, QA engineers, and UX designers for regulated clients—primarily banks and financial services firms.
I established Scrum and Kanban workflows: sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure predictable, iterative value delivery.
I owned end-to-end delivery: from solution architecture and compliance checkpoints (PCI, GDPR) to user acceptance testing and production rollout.
By embedding governance frameworks, risk assessments, and audit trails, I helped institutions pass internal and external audits with zero critical findings.
Under my leadership, major digital banking platforms went live on time, with uptime SLAs of 99.9% and user adoption rates exceeding 70% within three months.
This chapter of my career reinforced my passion for marrying rigorous process with human-centered design—ensuring that large-scale digital transformations drive both compliance and delight.
